   1 When the net is up, remove and  drop the costume. Go cage and   crack the whip to disclose a    trapdoor. Return to the ring    with the ladder, dropping the   whip on the way, then climb up  to a steel tightrope.
   1 When one adventure seemed to  start without any problems I    discovered that you have to     switch on CAPS LOCK!
   1 When confronted by the LizardKing, join hands (you need a    party of four, but not the      donkey) and think hate. This    will not work so think dragon.  The dragon will emerge from a   hole in the ground and drag the Lizard King into it.
   1 Want to get the donkey over a wall? Give him a lift.

   1 WHAT ARE THE FOLLOWING                ADVENTURES?
   1 Unfortunately my experiences    with the games turned out to be rather boring.
   1 To sum up, all I can say is   that I have seen better programswritten for the ZX81!!!
   1 To pass the spider ask the   dwarf for help.
   1 To pass the rock fall just   move it.
   1 To pass the fallen oak tree, climb over it.
   1 To pass over the pit, ""all   puss"" the column.
   1 To open the stone slab say   move.
   1 To open the castle door, ask the thief for help.
   1 To kill the winged guardian, ask the elf for help. He will   use the unicorn dust which he   appropriated in the small cave.
   1 To jump the chasm you first   have to let go of the donkey's  rope. In the small cave examine it and if you just wait a while the elf will find a bag of      Unicorn dust. Talk to the hermittwice for some helpful advice.
   1 To cross the river, ask the  giant for help and he will builda boat for you. Now fire him.   This may seem harsh but there isnothing he likes better than a  nice vole to eat. Ugh!
   1 This is a really delightful gameand very good value for money aswell as having quite a novel    theme.
   1 This is a five ring circus -  the first was where you found   the pile of rope, and here thereis a ladder. The next one to theeast is where you erect the     safety net, and the next one    contains a cage, with another   two ring locations to the north.
   1 There are two versions of     Cloud 99 on the tape. The 48K   version is text only and for    those of you with 128K there arelonger location descriptions,   graphics, more messages and moreof everything else!
   1 There are puzzles galore in thisgame such as finding money to   pay the inn keeper or to buy    vital objects from the AdventureSection in the general store.
   1 There are only 35 locations in  this game, but don't make the   mistake of thinking that it     should be easy! The puzzles are many and varied, and things mustbe done in the right order to   complete the game.
   1 The solution to Competition 18  was 
   1 The next problem is a rat     which emerges from a hole in theground and won't let you pass.  Retreat back to the boulder and roll it over the hole.

   1 Go west twice, examine the    freezer to get a fish. Pick up  the spanner you dropped by the  entrance, then go tank in the   small room to the east.
   1 Go to the fencing hall and hit  the cyberman. Examine the work  bench in the repair room to get a screwdriver.
   1 Go to the baths. You must have  water in the horn to survive thehypocaust - get it from the     basin.
   1 Go to the alcove room and get   lightsable. There is a phial in the cubicle. Do not drop it as  it will shatter. Fire rocket to get back to outside sports      centre.
   1 Go tightrope then north to a  stand where you will see a metalbar. Get this then jump.....intothe safety net.
   1 Go south to another field     where you can see the road, then
   1 Go into the well and drink waterto become strong (essential for actions in COG 8). Go north to  return to the clock.
   1 Go downstairs to the dungeon anddig to get the coffer. It's     empty. Dig again in the clock.
   1 Get the gauntlet in the court-  yard and the suit of armour fromthe armoury. Go to the great    hall. DON'T attack the black
   1 Get the drinking horn and sweetsand go to the master bedroom.   Give the sweets to the dogs to  pacify them.
   1 Get the car keys, go to the   tiger's cage and go trapdoor to a gloomy passage. To the south  you will find a control panel.
   1 Get and read milestone. To get  ale give nugget. Leave the appleDO NOT throw it. Leave the      wretch. To get food give ale to the messenger.
   1 Get a net and trident from the  locker in the barracks. Go to   the arena (you can't get in if  the gladiator hasn't been first)and throw net then throw the    trident to hold the lion.
